    Hi,

I am using a 700m with rock solid keyboard and a friend's new M1330, and the right side of the M1330 has a springy keyboard (keyboard flex). Is this normal for the M1330? Should my friend ask Dell for a new computer, have Dell replace the keyboard? Is there a way of identifying who makes the keyboard, and is there a model that is better in terms of quality?

I did search the forums but couldn't find any references to keyboard makers, nor a definitive answer on whether the keyboard should be rock solid (like the 700m)

    Thanks

I don't know what the 700 is like. But, I have the Insprion e1505 and recently purchased the XPS m1330.

The keyboard on the Inspiron is significantly more sturdy and "rock solid" compared to the more "springy" and slippery keyboard on the XPS.

I am not sure about other models of keyboards...I didn't even know you could replace them. I have just been trying to get used to the change.
