I've been lurking on this forum for months but this is my first post. My XPS M1330 with the Penryn processor arrived today, everything seems fine but I'm wondering why it arrived with bios version A08 when it's version A09 that is supposed to be compatible with the Penryn chip. When I use my service tag # to see what downloads there are available nothing is showing up so it might not be in the data base yet. How is it that it works fine if the bios version is incompatible?
On another note the midnight blue color is beautiful, much nicer than it shows on Dells site. It's a very dark almost purplish color, very classy.

Hey,
I actually received mine yesterday and it also came with A08. I was wondering but it all work fine so I didn't worry much about it. I just flash my bios to A9 though. -
Could be that revision A08 addressed support of Penryn processors but A09 addressed issues for different CPU's.
Haven't looked at the bios revision specs so can't say for certain. -
I just received my m1330 today and the bios revision is also A08
