    XPS M1330

Does anyone know the weight difference between the 4 and 6 cells battery?

I'm tempted to go for the lightest possible.

    Thanks for that.

Do you also have information on how long they last?

This guy weighed it with the 6 cell and 9 cell:

    http://www.reviewpub.net/2007/07/dell-xps-m1330-.html

With the 9 cell, it is 4.75 pounds.

With the 6 cell, it is 4.41 pounds.

As he mentions in the review, the 4 cell must be very light even relative to the 6 cell if it is actually 3.97 pounds.

He also weighed the XPSM1330 with the 9 cell and the power adapter, to get a total travel weight of 5.5 pounds.

I did, bit it does not give definitive answer on the 4 cell vs. 6 cell battery life:

The 9-cell battery is the way to go if you're doing any traveling, which you likely will be if you decide to purchase this notebook. With the screen set to 3/8 brightness, wireless on, and idling without doing any work the XPS M1330 squeezed out 4 hours and 45 minutes of battery life. If you're watching a DVD on this notebook you'll get somewhere just over 3 hours of battery life with the 9-cell. If you go for the smaller 4-cell battery the run life will be more than cut in half, but you'll have a lighter overall notebook.

Yes when you are on the road every day every ounce counts.

however 130 grams is not a big diffference. I will propably get the 6 cell.

I'd recommend the 9, i got the 6 cell with my m1210, and youd be surprised just how quickly three hours can go by when your away from an outlet.

I was about to say.... LOL

I would assume there would be a big difference between a 4 lb and a 6 lb laptop... .but 130 grams isn't that big of a deal and you get more battery life.
