    XPS M1330 arrived!!! NO BAG or earbuds??!?!

    Just FINALLY got my XPS M1330 today. However it did not come with any XPS bag or earbuds that I am used to. Are they no longer shipping out those little black XPS bags or did I get screwed? All other XPS laptops I have bought came with them.

    might not be available..i think you would have to purchase them seperately. you could always try contacting them to see whats up.

    you should probably check your shipping list then call them and ask about it.
    If it is a standard it should come with it perhaps?

    Please, PLEASE use the Search feature. There are TONS of threads on this.

    It seems as if many people aren't getting them anymore so I'd almost say that they aren't shipping with them now. Also, I did read in a thread about a week ago that someone contacted a CSR and the CSR said that the promotion for free bag/earbuds/etc etc were only for the may/june period.

    I've purchased several XPS laptops and they ALL come with at least the bag. This was back in January I made my last 2 xps purchases.

    Exactly. It was back in January. When everyone was getting them.

    It ended in [late]June, I think.

    My guess is they are close to releasing the new XPS systems and have sold out of the bag/earbuds, and don't wish to get more as they will be closing out the current XPSs anyway.

    My rep just emailed me back and this is what she said:

    Please be informed that I will go ahead issue credit ($25.00) for cleaning cloth as these item is not available.

    I have set up a request for a Ear buds and CD case to be shipped to you. Once your order is completed, it will be shipped to you next day air to the address provided below: ***My Address Here***

    So $25 for a cloth seems good. I emailed her back asking how they're going to credit me back 25 bucks. If its to the Credit Card then my dad is gonna keep the money. If its to a gift card than I can use it .

    I emailed her back asking about the XPS sleeve but I guess I shouldn't have cause I checked my account and I have two new orders there.

    1) Targus 15.4in Slipskin Laptop Case - Laptop carrying case $0.00
    Status is shipped and it says it should be here tomorrow (DHL thou =/)

    2) Kit,Earphone,Buds,Extreme Performance System
    Status is in production with an ESD as 8/27 and EDD of 8/28

    My Rep rocks! I dont know what everyone else is complaining about.

    There have been no leaks/information about a new XPS lineup in the past few weeks (if ever).

    I had the same problem with my new M1530. Instead of offering me something or sending the kit they wanted to refund the whole laptop, so I obliged. Idiots. :)

    I'm having the same problem with my M1530 that arrived on Aug 5th. No sleeve case, no dust cloth. I called so many time and on hold for HRS...none of the rep was helpful...they are telling me many different answer :

    1)the promotion is no longer available since March ( i knew that's not true cuz mah brother placed an order of the m1530 in July and he got everything came with his laptop) I even explained my brother's situation but the rep said he doesnt know and he can't do anything about it. I even asked for a gift card but it was hopeless.

    2)the rep said he didnt see any sleeve case or earbuds (even I got it) or any cloth that listed in my invoice.

    3)the lady said my laptop is a refurbished system, that's why it didnt come with those accessories.

    i gave up and decided to buy the XPS sleeve case on ebay for $4 + shipping...yay...dell customer service sucks

    Hi. In the picture of your laptop, what is supporting the back of it to put it at an angle. I want to get something to make it tilt.


    I didn't receive the accessory kit. I called and complained. I received a call from Dell today and they gave me a $60 credit.

    Actually this is sort of true. There was an article on 8/13 that I saw on these boards that stated that Dell is planning to kill the XPS line and merge it with Studio and Inspiron within the next year.

    So in the end, you will have Studio, Studio XPS, Inspiron, and Inspiron XPS laptops.

    None of which will probably look as nice as the current XPS does.

    Ok, my M1330 came today and I did NOT receive ear buds or the sleeve. The promo is over? Oh well.
