    Hi, all.

Reviews are saying the standard drive is 4200RPM, but when I go to select an upgrade, I see only standard drives and a 7200RPM.

But then when I click on a link for more info, it seems to indicate that all XPS machines come with a minimum of 5400RPM drives.

Which is correct? Could they be offering a machine with only 4200 or 7200 as options?

Also, would the 7200 hurt battery life in a major way?>

    Thanks.

No, from what I can tell they're offering the 5400 RPM by default and the 7200 as an upgrade. As to battery life, you won't see any difference, but you're not going to get a huge performance gain either. Depending on budget and the rest of the specs, you may or may not want that upgrade.

Hmmm 5400 rpm Hard Drive. Not bad, little extra. The XPS M140 seems like a good 14" machine but lacks dedicated graphics. I wouldn't mind seeing it in person before making a purchase.
