I have a XPS M140, after continous use for about 1.5 hr, the laptop start making beeping noise. At first it only beep 1 or 2 times at once, then it will beep more at a time. Then, it will lock up, then it will crash to blue screen. I thought it is overheating, so I used a tool to monitor the temperature, it seems normal. Anyone has experience with this.

Mine goes to a blue screen that says Parity Error or something once in awhile (and its brand new). I'm still debating whether or not to contact Dell about it. Try forcing your fan speeds to high.

If it keeps happening on a regular basis, you should call Dell.

    What does the BSOD say?

If it says memory parity error I would recommend downloading memtest and burning it to a disk and running that for at least a few passes to see if there are any errors in your memory.

Memtest runs fine. This is happening on regular basis. I will call Dell about it. I am traveling outside of USA and my warranty dont cover foreign repair. I will have to wait until I get back.
