    hi,
I can configure an XPS M140 with the following specs and the price including shipping tax etc .. net comes out $1212 - this is directly from dell and no refurbished system or ebay thing .. I wanted a new one ... experts could you comment if its good deal and I should go ahead or I should wait ???

    Specs:
    1.86 gig Process Pentium M 750
    1 gig RAM - 2 Dims
    80 gig HDD 5400 rpm
Intel 2200 Wireless with Dell 350 bluetooth
    Intel graphics media accelarator 900
3 yr at home plus nights & weekend warranty
    6 cell battery
    14.1 in screen with Truelife
    8x DVD burner

Total Price including next day shipping, tax etc $1211.99 directly from dell ...
note that same system (inspiron 630m) from small business is costing me more since I cannot put the coupons etc there
so any suggestions if I should go ahead and buy it or wait for a better deal ... may be till march or so ... I hope I wouldn't regret having this machine when dual cores come out around this march or so ...

I had in mind ASUS Z63A - but its costing 1300+ and doesn't have things which XPS does .
same goes for IBM's Z60t - no blue tooth and sky high price

    Thanks in advance :)

does it makes sense to buy the RAM from outside rather than from Dell .. note that I'm able to take off about 17% the RAM price whatever dell is offering so comment on that as well I can bring the price down further I guess.
    tahnks again

I'd prefer the Asus. Yes I would buy the memory elsewhere.
