    Hey All,

I've got a nice M1530 (3G/7200RPM/8600/WSXGA+) with the oddest problem.

When I type (and I type rapidly), *sometimes* the letter "m" (or "n" or ",") will repeat. Maybe 1 in 50 times.

This happens whether I'm running Vista or Ubuntu, and whether I have keyboard repeat turned on or off...

    Anyone have this problem?

    Thanks

Wow - I guess I'm the only one having this problem. Heh. Oh well, time to eBay the notebook :)

Why dont you tell this problem to dell , they will prolly swap it out for you
If no one has this problem you must have a fault in your hardware somewhere.

Yeah, they've replaced both the keyboard and the mobo. I'm wondering if it is an inherent hardware problem. The weird thing is on my Inspiron 1520 (which has a similar keyboard) this doesn't happen...

So it turns out Dell has multiple providers of keyboards, and one is a cheap POS. Subsequently if one types on said keyboard and the letters are pressed down at *just* the right pressure, they key doublestrokes.

Dell's solution: keep sending me replacement keyboards until one works. Hah.
