Only looking for a simple answer, not a ton of people stating to not buy the system or to buy something else please...

Does anyone know if this is a desktop video card? I've read around and there is alot of people saying several parts from this system are desktop parts so I'm trying to figure out of the video card is one of them.

No, the card is a Mobility X1800, which means that it is based on a smaller form factor and has alot of power saving features. The core and memory clockspeed decrease when the notebook is on battery, and when on AC power, the clocks speed back up to full speed.

oh well... maybe they will refresh the system when Santa Rosa and the DX10 cards come out.. I'd love for a system like this if it had a user replaceable video card. Oh well.. for now I'll dream =P
