    Hi Guys,
At last I decided to order XPS 1330 and jsut got dispatched within 4 days of ordering, which I was surprised.
Anyway, i was tracking my package through Walsh western courier and i got the following message

    21/12/07 14:21 IVR-OUTBOUND 28/12/07 AM DEL. SCHEDULED DELIVERY DATE.
    21/12/07 14:21 AM DELIVERY.
    21/12/07 12:14 IVR-OUTBOUND PRE CALL - NO ANSWER.
    21/12/07 09:00 RAHEEN DEPARTED EMF.
    21/12/07 08:18 CALL LOCK OUT.

What i am worried is They did not call me at all even at my work place and my mobile number!!! I am worried that they are going to mess up the delivery. Has anyone had expreience with walsh western?

is how mine looks. It's scheduled for delivery next friday AM, yet is in Leicester, 3 hours drive away?!?! Why can't they get it to a local office in time for delivery on monday? *sigh*
I may have to call them up and try to re-arrange it.

EDIT: Urgh. Once it's been booked for delivery and has left the hub (in Hinckley) the delivery date can't be changed. Might resort to calling the depot it gets sent to to see if they can shift it forward to monday... I want my laptop, dammit!

When getting Dell (business) systems before they have been good, but those were not around christmas.

It's because Walsh western have their christmas holidays from the 24th to 27th, so the next delivery day is the 28th unfortunately i just rang dell to confirm. I am in the same situation, except they only just dispatched my order today and it's a desktop (XPS 420, I've had enough trouble with their notebooks to last me a lifetime :( )

It probably won't be long until all the delivery slots are taken for the 28th and people will be waiting till the 31st or 2nd, so i guess we're kind of lucky in that respect.

Ahh, I see. I thought that the 24th would be a working day, and so would the 27th. Oh well, just have to put up with it... I blame my parents for waiting so long to cough up their part of the money :p

My experience was good. But mine arrive early Dec. Sorry, I understand how annoying it all it, my initi order for m1710 was pushed back to Jan, so I cancelled and ordered the 1730.

Your welcome to come over to my place and try my 1730 out. :D :D (Swansea)

Just so you don't feel too bad, my house phone has stopped working, Virgin won't send anyone out until Jan 4th.

    Hi james,
nice to hear that. I was waiting all day and the bloody courier company did not even bother to call me and the worst they lied in the online tracking system that they left me a card, which they did not!!! I am left to grudge for the weekend!!! I dont know what to do with this courier company!!!

Anyway, i think we should have the same batch of 1330! just was curious how the system is...your initial thoughts..regarding the base alignment, heat or anyother potential problems with this batch!!!
