It didn't say when I ordered the XPS yesterday whether if I get RESTORE disks or if it is on the HD. I think it sucks when they go the easy way out and put it on a partitioned disk like HP does.

You get a disk with your operating system on it, and a driver disk. You also get a separate partition on the hard drive that contains a bootable restore partition that can bring your laptop back to factory spec. The choice is yours what you would like to use to restore.

Most importantly the screen display is not grainy. The screen is the component you will always look at, not the restore disk. I wonder why Dell offers such crappy parts on the pricey XPS. Disappointed!

Why do trolls like you keep posting this stuff. All you are doing is creating a false hysteria. Do you notice this forum is the ONLY one where anyone has mentioned the issue? Granted there are a few legit cases...but when you keep repeating it over and over on a TOTALLY UNRELATED THREAD makes me pissed off because then people "THINK" they have a problem when they really don't. We don't need trolls on these forums. Go back under your bridge.

 I'm NOT trying to create any hysteria. You can say anything you like in the forums, so do I. I love the XPS and am just disappointed at what I saw.

The thread was about dvd's. His question was asked, and answered. Then you came in and started in with the screen crap.
