Interesting as my other two Dell batteries are at a point where they only lasted 30 minutes. Nothing I could do to revive them. I purchased another batteyr-new and now according to the battery meter in Windows it only last 45 minutes until a battery warning at 2% but it will go 20 minutes more while still at 2%. How can I reset the battery meter time to be accurate?

Are you stilll under warranty? Now ay the battery is supposed to last that short.

First two batteries had a lot of time on them and warranty expired. Even when new with everything on max the laptop only last 1 hour on a charge with the 9 cell.
So this new battery is holding the capacity as it should but again the battery meter is way off. Show critical battery warning at 2% for 25 minutes.
Looking for feedback on hoe to get the battery and laptop to show the same usage.

yea I have the 9 cell too and battery life seems to suck on this compared to my Latitude D800. What kind of life are most other 1530 users getting?

I would ask for a replacement battery. There has to be something wrong, even a 6-cell should give you a good 2 hours of battery on max performance.

No way, 2 hours on a 9cell with everything at the lowest is more like it. Again, both of my original batteries have already been replaced by Dell and none of them ever went further than 1.5 hours at max. The laptop pulls a lot of juice as witnessed by it's 130w power supply

Again, stick to the subject line please. I am not asking about the battery life I am asking about the battery meter accuracy.
    thanks
