    1. Is the Nvidia 7400 video card faster than a 9800 pro?

    2. Is the camera worth it?

    3. Would the screen size be too small for photoshop/graphic apps?

    4. Has anyone tried Battlefield 2 on this laptop yet? How about World of Warcraft (me favourite games).

    ???

jtom basically sumed it up, but make sure to get enough RAM (I'd recommend at least 1.5GBs) to run BF2 on the M1210. As far as Photoshop goes, the screen may be a little small depending if you're working with extremely high-res. pictures.

    speaking of upgrading the ram, i should be receiving my m1210 in a few days, (T2300E / 1GB / 80GB / GeForce 7400 / 6 Cell)

What kind of ram would I be looking for to put in there (2x1GB)? All this new fancy DDR2 timing confuses me

Preferably from www.outpost.com because they ship to Canada and I've dealt with them before.

you should be looking for memory marked DDR2 533, which is also PC 4200 and PC 4300 or DDR2 667 which is also PC 5300 and PC 5400. The latter memory is faster as it works at 667 speed. Just make sure you are getting two same sticks speedwise and preferably manufacturer wise so that it works in dual mode.

if you need a web camera at all i'd say go for it as an embedded camera is a neat solution. afterall it's logitech so it cannot be marginally bad. Also in AV package you get a prep for broadband wireless card should you decide to install one in the future.

I play BF2 on my desktop now, P4 2.4, geforce 6200, 768mb ram. Its at 800x600, on medium settings. Its a little choppy in places, and loading takes forever. 1gb+ is needed for smooth gameplay in BF2.
