Hi there,
I'm planning to purchase m1210 laptop. Just wondered how is sound quality with a Creative Audigy sound card? Is it loud enough to watch DVD movies without external speakers?
Thank you,
-
yes it's loud enough. But don't expect the best quality. They are a bit tinny. Not a big issue as it is rarely noticable in movies but you can notice a big difference in music.
-
Please note however, it is not a sound card ... the upgrade is software only.
Depending on who you type to, some like it, some don't. -
I own it, I dont like the sound without external......sooo tingy

Iceman0124 More news from nowhere
it helps a lot if you download and install the ac3 audio filter and increase the gains
-
now thats better! Praise to the Iceman0124
Removed the "tingy"ness at least to a listening level while I work....
cheers -

google is your god

nice app iceman thanks!
btw, the sound quality on the M1210 is pretty good. a lot more crisper and clearer than most of my buddies laptops...its also pretty loud too
btw, anybody wanna post their config for the filter program? -
The built in speakers will always be tinny.
A USB headset will provide great sound:

Logitech® USB Headset 250
Any reasonable stereo equipment will provide great sound, just connect cables.
For portable travel speakers, these are cheap. Not great sound but much better than the built in speakers.
