Was on and off the Dell site for the last month or so. Just noticed today the XPS m1210 with the GeForce Graphics option is unavailable now.

This is on the UK (Europe) site ...

I wonder what's planned ahead. This is now portrayed purely as a business system ...

Interesting...the e1505 is supposedly pulled from the Canada site, and I just read a post about the e1405 disappearing from the US site...

Makes sense..... didn't they say the new Inspirons (1420, 1520, 1720) were coming at the end of this month?

And it seems like the XPSM1330 could be coming soon too.

    Ruh roh!

This is probably due to all the new models coming out soon.

Even though the new models (in my case 1210 v 1330) is far superb, does the 1330 put the 1210 to shame that much? It may be slimmer, but it has less USB ports, as well as the technology being rather new.

My only way to purchase the XPS m1210 is through eBay now, which I am about to do, however I may get swayed. Hmm. Any objections? =)

If the reported specs of the XPSM1330 are true (LED-backlit screen, GeForce 8400M, thinner design, etc.), then yes, I think it would put it to shame that much.

It depends on what you need. For some people, four USB ports and a rotating webcam are dealbreakers not available with the new model. The M1330 also has a larger footprint, and is wider at its widest point. From what I've read, Santa Rosa isn't a huge base performance upgrade so the only really noticeable improvement in performance will be from the new graphics card, and even that isn't huge. The biggest difference is just the appearance/screen size.

You can no longer do a "full customize" of it on the canadian site. They only offer the pre-configured one which only lets you change the ram, hard drive, and GPU chip.

They are clearly trying to sell through their stock right now.

It could be due to new models, OR simply due to not having enough stock/ parts. Over here in DELL Japan some models or options just disappear from the site completely for few days or even for few weeks, but they re-appear. Maybe in this case they are short of dedicated graphics cards.

I dont think they will pull M1210 just yet. IMO it will be available even after M1330 is introduced.

lol, a m1210 without nvidia go7400 is a dealbreaker for me.

m1330 does have slightly nicer specs, but I would consider the price, battery life, and the size if I plan to buy one in the future.

It was a special deal that happened last Friday.

The base price on the M1210 dropped to $579.

Decked out mine was $963 shipped to my door.

It's being delivered Mon or Tuesday

Australian Dell site still have M1210 with Geforce options, all Inspirons models are still there, they have taken away two latitude models last week though.

We had all the new Latitude models when they came out. The way it works, is that they release the new models, run them along side the older ones, then a week or so in, remove the older models. Which is what happened to the lattitude range. I do not mind being stuck with older models as long as the new ones are there to, and they always are.
