I want to buy dell xps m1330 and I want to know how I can extend the battery life?
(I mean undervolting, bus speed downclocking, or shut down the nVidia card and use only x3100)
Has anyone experience or advice in it?

    thx.

i currently undervolt all my computers processors to make them cooler using a RMclock utility: http://cpu.rightmark.org/download.shtml (go down to Rm clock and get EXE)
You just need to adjust the P state transistors and voltage and the processor runs much cooler (no fan at all on 6400), this saves battery life too. (but i have not tested on santa rosa)

For the graphics card try Rivatuner, its really complicated but read the documentation and you should get it. ( http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=rivatuner).

    Best of luck.

You don't have the 8400GS and Intel card, its either or. I second the RMClock software. Works like a champ. My T7500 had a stock vcore of 1.25 and I dropped it down to 1.125 and all of my other voltages as well. :) Don't worry about your gpu. It already has power saving features and since we can't lower the voltage on the card, its pretty much pointless

Do you have the 6 or 9 cell battery?

    The config:
    dell xps m1330
    T7500 2,2GHz / LED screen / 2 GB DDR2 667 / 160 GB 7200RPM / 128 MB NVIDIA 8400M GS / Black casing /
    Intel wireless-N / 6 cell batteries / Fingerprint / Bluetooth

    Vengance,
How long is your batt.life on this voltage?
What is the absolute min. voltage by santa rosa?

You have the 6 cell battery. You can get the 9 cell battery which will last about 30% longer.

Its tough to tell, but I say I would get a solid 2:30-300 hours with the screen at 4/6 brightness, Wifi and me surfing. I am still working on getting my voltage lower when I am idle. When the cpu is at 800MHZ, voltage is suppose to drop to .85 volts. Normally I keep my machine locked at 1.0 volt and the 7-8 multiplier. Plenty for surfing, but still saves some battery life.

Hmm, you might have a defective system. My first m1330 got that kind of runtime with these specs:

vista, T7500, CCFL, 1gb ram, 250gb hd, BT off, brightness FULL, wifi on, no optical usage, no undervolting, surfing web

Then, I got a replacement system and consistently get 4hrs runtime under the same conditions.

    If you're getting 2.5-3hrs, that's not normal.
