OK, so I decided to try an experiment and hook my XMS M170 up to my Samsung 42" Plasma TV via VGA cable. What a cool experience, especially with XP Media Center. I was able to play a DVD full screen on the TV while I still had use of the laptop screen for web-browsing and stuff. Unfortunately my Plasma is an older version only EDTV not HDTV so no DVI input only VGA. I can deffinitely see the future of home entertainment and XP Media Center.
OK So taday I took it another step further and played Half-Life 2 on my XPS through my 42" Plasma TV (EDTV 852x480). What a cool way to play, Set everything to high and AAx4 AFx16 no lag at all smooth framerate and nice visuals considering the size and all. Now I just need a longer video cable so I can sit on the couch and play or this might be a good reason to open my new XBOX360 controller for Windows.
I now have no need to upgrade my desktop with a new XPS600, maybe I will break loose and buy that Dell 2405PFW 24" widescreen monitor though or maybe the Dell 26" LCD HDTV.

That is a pretty cool setup. Good point about not needing the XPS600 now. Hope it continues to go well.
