Does anyone know if XPS1210 supports booting from an expresscard? I am buying a 500GB Seagate Agent Pro and attaching it via a esata expresscard. However, I was just curious if I could actually install operating systems on there as benchmarks show that the external HD is much faster than my internal one. Also, if there were performance gains, would they be noticeable? Thanks

I don’t know for sure, but since there is no way to set an expresscard as a bootable device in the BIOS, most likely you cant do it. Besides, whats the point of having an ultra portable if you decide to run your OS on an external desktop HDD .
