I upgraded to ZA 7.0 from 6.5 yesterday. I restarted after the installation and it seemed to worked fine. I put my computer on Standby after typing a few word documents on it. When I came to wake the computer from Standby, everything came crashing down. First, it wouldn't wake up, so I had to remove the battery to manually shut it down. Then, every time when I tried to boot the computer, I got a windows error (something about svchost and 0x7c8edf4) immediately followed by BSOD (stop d0000144 unknown hard error). Thankfully, I booted in safemode and removed ZA 7.0. Has any one else installed 7.0 and encountered a similar problem? Thanks in advance.

Or even better would be zonelab's forums.

ive actually been having this problem for a while now, i didn't think it could be zone alarm but i guess i will try removing it and see if that helps. It's been happening to me since 6.5 was out.

I had the exact same thing happen to me today on my XPS 1210 after installing the ZA 7.0 upgrade! It locked up the hard drive. I'm gonna go try to uninstall it, hope it works. I'm going to look at the Zone Alarm website and see if they know of this problem and what the fix is.
I also got my desktop into a continuous reboot mode but I think that's unrelated?
