The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     XPS1210, CPU Virtualization on or off in the bios?

    I don't use anything that has virtual machines, if that is what the setting affects. Any ideas as to whether it should be on or off? Any gain either way?

    It is only used in virtual machines (I'm working on an article about it), so it really doesn't matter either way.

    It does no harm either way. It will help if you decide to do virtualization.
