For video editing (adobe premiere pro), which choice would be better to go with?

    Thanks in advance :)

I’d get a 7200 if the price is good. Or get a smaller 5400 disk from DELL and upgrade it later yourself, that is generally the cheapest way to get a 7200 disk.

I think you’ll notice a considerable performance boost especially in video editing.

7200RPM (mind you battery life is a bit less but the performance gains are pretty big)

I use Pro Tools and Edius Pro.

I went for the 7200RPM when I ordered my M1210.

    I think it's worth getting the 7200rpm.

You might consider the slower drive and get an external 7200 rpm. That could give the best of both worlds of battery life and performance.

anyway it's recommended to have a dedicated physical drive for video editing anyways...

I don't see how having 2 drives run at once can increase battery life, USB drive also draws power from the notebook too you know ;). Ok maybe you meant when its disconnected.... :p

    Yes I agree
