Does the 6 cell battery stick out on the XPS1330? Or is it flush? I'm planning to jump on this $200 XPS coupon today. I'd like the extra battery life, but I want it to be compact for travel, so if it sticks out, then I'll just stick with the 4 cell.

if you travel a lot, i recommend getting both the 6- and 9-cell batteries. I probably will be ordering the 9-cell in addition to another power brick.

It's the same physical size as the 4-cell, only it weighs about a half-pound more due the greater number of cells (6) inside.

If you travel and don't want to deal with the extra weight and bulk, a spare 6 cell fits nicely into most any bag, but 9 will obviously give you more power.

The 4 cell only exists so that dell can make the less than 4 lbs claim or else it's really not practical to have only 4 cells when you could have 6 cells in the same volume..
    It's all marketing =P

Agreed. A 4 cell is so impractical because even on an "ultra-portable" you don't get a long life out of a 4 cell.
