I got Acronis Migrate Easy so I could clone my 60GB HD then upgrade to a 200 GB HD for my XPS M1710.

After spending hours with Dell Tech support and returning the new drive as defective, I found the following article.

    http://www.goodells.net/dellrestore/mediadirect.htm

It seems to say there is no way to use Acronis Migrate Easy on a HD that has a Media Direct HPA. The symptoms described in the article are exactly what happened to me.

I would like to install a new, larger drive without having to re-install all the software. Anyone have a solution?
