I ordered a Lenovo and it looks like they won't be shiping out until mid october, so I am probably cancel the order and pick up a dell. I am torn between a m1330 (i like the smaller size) and the E6400 (i like the high res screen option). Which one of these systems is more durable or better build quality and nicer parts? I am a heavy traveler and use it on the road (planes, rental cars, hotels, airports).

E6400 will have a signifcantly better build quality than the 1330. The LED screen is great according to the review, as is the battery life. It is still less than a pound heavier.

Thats kind of what I read in some of the reviews, but thought I would check here as well. Another thing I just thought of is the display is glossy on the m1330, whereas its the matte surface on the e6400, which makes for better viewing outside or while sitting in a rental car.

I see there is a 13" latitude "coming soon" too. I wonder if will have the same build quality as the e6400.

It should...they are using similar design philosophies and similar materials.

The build quality in the latitude series are superbe. Get which ever latitude model you like, you wont regret it.

The Dell D610 use to have an aluminium frame inside the chassi :D
