MOD Please delete or edit to "inspiron 7000" instead of latitutde

    Hey Guys,
I'm looking to buy a new laptop for myself and I've been eyeing the dell laptops. One thing I can't wrap my head around is the price difference between xps 13 and Inspiron 7000? I found the inspiron at best buy for $899.99
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-inspiron-2-in-1/4453800.p?id=1219749486261&skuId=4453800
    Specs:
    i7-6500
    256 GB Solid State
    8GB Ram

The exact same specs for an xps 13 on the dell website is $1649. I've always been of the opinion you get what you pay for. what do you get on the xps 13 that's worth $750?

As an another question the xps 13 and latitutde seem to have the same wireless card. are the wireless issues that people have complained about fixed yet? if not is it better to go for another brand like Asus if i use wifi alot?

The XPS series is there high end series. It's also got the infinity edge display, and a larger battery. the Inspiron 7000 series is a bit heavier, thicker, and overall " less " of a device. I don't think it's worth that kinda cash, considering the 7k series is now all touch screen, and a two in one, which for a get up and go user like me, that's what i want / need.

Having owned both I think they are both quality machines but the XPS is clearly a step ahead and its price justifies that. The Inspiron is nice though and the "special edition" models (7352 and 7342) really are nice too. To save some money going with a similar equipped inspiron 7000 series really is not a bad option at all. If you really want the form factor that the XPS provides, then really that is the only major difference. (Yes the xps has usb-c and pcie storage, but some people won't benefit from those yet).
