My e1705 that had a t7200 cpu and 2gb ram with vista business runs ALOT faster than my xps 1330 with a t5250, 4gb ram, and vista home premium. My question is why?? Are the processors speed really effecting the laptop that much, or does it have something to do with the OS or what? Thanks Robert

The processor is quite a bit faster. Try clean installing on your XPS.
