When will Dell release a 14 inch duo notebook? I want the XPS 140 but I am afraid once I buy it that dell will release it with core duo.
Also how long does it usually take for a new laptop to appear on the dell outlet? I would prefer doing it through the outlet and saving some money however I am assuming that it will take at least a month after it is released for the outlet to have any.

Rumor has been going around about the E1405 which was on Dell's spreadsheet of models that is to be released. But the M140 will be released with core duo hopefully. Otherwise you will have to wait for the E1405.

Dell is releasing the M140 (but now i1405) with Core Duo and upgraded integrated graphics on the 1st of May.
-
with they ever put dedicated gfx?
cause i'd love a 14" with ded gfx (doesn't have to be great gfx, but ANYTHIING is better than intel) -
The XPS right now has the ATI gfx.

thanks for the info -
Yea but how long before outlet models start showing up? I would assume the new dual core 14 inch would take at least a month after the release to start getting outlets models.
-
My guess would at about a month...
-
Do you know what will be the minimum price? Or, based on Dell's usual behavior, how much more expensive do you guess it is going to be, compared to the current deal of $649?
-
The XPS M140 has Intel Integrated graphics. The 900 GMA.
-
The only reason the M140 is currently so inexpensive, is due to the soon launch of the E1405. They are clearing out their inventory. The E1405 is expected to be about $100 more than the M140 normal price of $849. The only difference is upgraded integrated graphics, and core duo.
-
Are you sure that the new model will still have integrated graphics? Because thats my main reason for waiting and not getting the XPS 140.
-
Yes, there was a small rumor going around that it could, but it infact does not.
