Hi guys - I've got MOST of my issues sorted out. But I am left with this final one...

When I opened the XPS initially and switched it on, I happened to notice that within the Dell QuickSet program was a function to have your LED/lights automatically change colour and react to music... Now that I have re-installed and shoved back DMX/DMD/WindowsXPHome I have noticed that the function is now missing. I still have the option to manually change the colour of the LED/Lights but there is not an option to have the colours change themselves or react to MediaPlayer/Winamp, etc.

Does anyone know how I can regain this functionality?

    Thanks

I know it's a silly question, but you re-installed QuickSet as well, right?

Hmm, I haven't dealt with the 1710, I have a 1210, but do you have an option in the BIOS to allow controll? I know the 1210 does, like a 3 second light turn on each time a media button is pressed. Just a shot in the dark.

The only option that i can see is one to change the STARTING colour of each of the lights... I thought that myself last night since the 1st thing i did was play with the bios when i received the machine...

I will have another look though as it's possible i missed something at 2am!

Any other suggestions? I noticed that LIGHTFX has some of the scripts - "breath" and "armour", etc... maybe i have to integrate them into Quickset somehow?... I have no idea how though as it's less than obvious if that's the case...
