Xps M1530 Blue Lid - High Demand?

I ordered a XPS m1530 with blue lid for myself on 5/12. It has been in build stage ever since. and I ordered my wife a XPS M1330 Product (RED) yesterday on 19th and its already in boxing.

So, I wonder. is blue M1530 in high demand and cause little delay?

Not really, no. M1330 is not as much in demand as M1530.

 

I ordered my blue m1530 on the 12'th as well. mine shipped on Sat and arrived yesterday. It probably has to do with what components you ordered as well.

right now, the 6-cell battery and the 1440x900 LCD (non-LED) are out of stock. (at least that's what i was told for my machine)

it's gonna be a while. i ordered on 5/8 ... probably not going to get it until the middle-ish to end-ish of june.

The back order problem was what we had last month due to the problem in color production and the hard drive.

I ordered blue lid, 9-cell. Went into testing stage today. Check your order status Fountainhead! It might be in testing by now! after all, i did order a day later than you.

 

Nope. Posted in another thread that it's still stuck in Build. I've got the 6 cell battery though. That's probably the hold up.

 

Orders before May 20th are delayed by the T8300's, T9300's and the 6-cell battery.

Finally got the information I wanted, *****ing helped!

 

Meh, few days before or after doesn't really make a big difference it appears. I ordered on 5/9, but mine's still in build stage. I called them again today, but all they told me was that it's a high-demand laptop and they try to build them as fast as they can, which I already knew, but at least there weren't any promises this time.
