I went to the www.dell.com.au website tonight to see how much the Xt2 was going to cost. $4,100 for a the minimum specifications!!!

You have got to be joking.

I can get the HP TX2Z for $1500 and that has multitouch!!!

    Thoughts?

Wait for it to show up in the outlet. Seriously, I really want one, but I won't get near it until I can get for ~1000.

Oh yeah...definately agree there. HPs are cheap, and quality, reliability, and durability are nowhere as good as a Dell Latitude.

It's just the HP consumer lines that wreak of plastic and gloss... I think their business tablets are pretty nice; I'd seriously consider a 2730p if I could use a Dell adapter with it. And then there's the X200T as well...

So I don't really think the $2400 base price of the XT2 is totally justified, at least when you consider that there are similar machines on the market at significantly lower price points. That doesn't mean that the XT2 isn't better, just not that much better.

That being said, I'm still looking forward to the day that I can afford one XD
