[ :D] It finally shipped! After waiting all the way since 5/14 (yeah I know not that long, but still) its shippppped!!! Can't wait to get it, but Dell says the delivery estimate is 24th-26th, which means I might not get it Monday. Silly free ground shipping [B)] why must the other options be so expensive?

Well I just thought I would post this because I am pretty darn happy about it and all... not that many will care.

Dell's choice of shipping does suck, the entire order/build/shipping process takes WAY too long IMHO

I agree with you 100%. Do they ship them from Malaysia to Dell in Austin? And why does it take 5-6 days?

if u mean the boxing stage, that's airtime from malaysia to dell in the US, then it goes from dell to you. i don't understand why they can't just ship it straight from the factory in malaysia to the end user.

Actually, they ship them from Malaysia to Nashville. From there, they have a private contractor that ships them from Nashville to your regional UPS/FedEx/DHL center. This is why when it says shipped, it takes a couple of days for the tracking number to show up on UPS/FedEx/DHL tracking system. I would think there has to be an easier way than this...

Sorry Queshy, I hope you get your system soon. I know the agony of waiting is hard...it drove me crazy (I was checking Dell & UPS every few hours )[ :D]

I'd bet that's why some people choose not to buy Dell - when you want a laptop and are buying it, you want to bring it home with you! Some people don't want to wait 2 weeks.

    Dell Inspiron 700m
    Pentium M, 1.8 Ghz
    1024 mb ram
    80 gb HD
    Dell Axim x50v
    iPod 3G 20 GB
