SO I have a 7800 (modded to GTX), And overclocked... Now, running a 90w adapter, I can safely go from stock 250/700 (I THINK that's the stock, can't remember) to 350/900 with no issues. If i go any higher, I get artifacting. Now the video card doesn't overheat at all, so just wondering... When I get my new 130w PSU will that solve the issue? If not, I might just go the 7900 route.
And another question.... Running an e1705 Win7, I can't use ATITool or any overclocking programs.. the only way to change my clock is to flash the BIOS every time I want to change it. I've gone the rivatuner and coolbits route, and no matter what, I can't set the clocks... I can UNDERCLOCK, but once it's underclocked, you have to reboot to get your set speeds again. Example, You can use riva or any program to go from 350 to 300, but once it's at 300, you have to reboot to get back to 350 again..
I've tried just about every driver under the sun, and can't find a driver that lets me control it. And with ATITool, I can't run the artifact test either...
**EDIT** I also tried reverting my mod back to plain jane 7800, as well, but doesn't change anything.
