    Plug in some headphones and listen when nothing is playing... annoying noises! only gets worse when AC adapter is plugged in and using the mousepad!

    It's called interference.

    Here's an experiment for you, go into your vehicle and tune to a unused radio frequency and hear the static, now cut the vehicle on, woah, you hear random noises!

    my old 6400/1505 does that. It is interference, but it's interference that shouldn't exist. I think you got defected laptop. Nothing big and bad but some thing must be missing when it was needed to block out EM waves from one wire to the other

    i got a replacement and that one has the same issue. and yes, IT SHOULD NOT BE THERE.

    Most computers have this. With different levels of course, and it depends a lot on the headphones. It all depends how bad it is. Most of the time people don't notice it. I'm very sensible to this, so I'm happy not to have ordered a 1520 :)
