The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

wow, that was fast... they moved 10k units in under an hour

    couple things...

    1. i spec'd out a 6000 identical to the one i bought a month ago with the 33% off coupon. (a) the savings was negligable, i think around 30 buck and (b) there was no 7200 rpm HD option

    2. most of the 10K quota was filled by dipwads buying multiple notebooks who are at this moment trying to off them ebay. these jerks ruin it for the avg joe who just wants a good deal on a notebook. anyways, ebay's going to be saturated with the flipped notebooks meaning nobody's going to make any $. there are still new 700ms on ebay from the october deal.

if you missed out, don't get one off ebay. like i said, the savings was negligable. the next dell coupon is just around the corner.
