    a really stupid question about dell xps 1530 (but seriously help)

    i just recently purchased a refurbished xps m1530 and i'm in love with it. anyways, after using the computer for awhile, i noticed the recycle bin was gone from the the desktop screen. i tried to find and search it, but i couldn't. it was there before, but it just disappeared. does anyone know how to get it back? sorry, it's a really stupid question but i need help :confused:

    It happened too when I was first using Vista, it can be deleted quite easily without noticing it. You can however get it back with a system restore, you just have to find a point when it is still there.

    LOL, you've just deleted it, that's all. I've done it a few times too.

    All you need to do is open Explorer (Windows button + E), find the Recycle Bin in the folder list on the left-hand side. Drag the Bin (whilst holding down the right touch-pad button) onto an empty part of the desktop, and when you release it, select "create shortcut here".

    It really irritates me that they didn't make it un-deletable. Didn't it used to be in XP?

    You can also see the recycle bin in the Windows Explorer directory. Which I prefer it to be.

    drag recycle bin to quicklaunch. it remains animated, context menu works, and you regain some desktop space

    Use Shift+Del %-)

    you can restore it from Control Panel -> Personalize -> Change desktop icons

    I don't like people snooping in my recycle bin so I deleted the icon from the desktop. Actually I don't even save deleted files/programs anymore.

    I have never used recycle bin... it's useless to me
