So i finally "pulled the trigger" and ordered a e1505.

I ordered it with a 9 cell battery.

    My question:

This notebook will be replacing my old Dell Inspiron 1000 (6-cell I think). I am going to be using this notebook in the bedroom as well as the family room so it would be nice to have an adapter at both locations.

I was wondering if I could use my old AC adapter to power my e1505. The model of this old battery is an adp-60nh. I think it outputs 60-watts.

What type of issues would I run into, if any?

I would hesitate to try something like that - your older AC adapter could short out and cause a lot of problems with your newer computer.

I wouldnt try it, I doubt anything bad would happen to permantly damage the notebook, but ya never know, my guess is it wouldnt be powerful enoughto run the laptop, you would probably still be draining the battery while its plugged in, if you need two adapters, go buy another one made for your machine

Thanks for the help. I probably wouldn't have tried it but I just wanted to see the possibility.
