    hello
    I had an old laptop(dell xps m1530)decided to add extra ssd (samsung evo 840 250g) use hdd caddy.
    after installation i try to boot with new ssd but it not in boot menu and bios
    in windows disk managment i can see it and creat volume
    bios show ssd as "fixed bay device
    is it possible bring new ssd to boot menu ?

    have you tried to put that ssd instead of hdd? does bios see it normally and can boot/install on it? if yes then its the dodgy bay caddy. also did you tried to update the bios to the latest?
