ok, when customizing my dell laptop, i saw this section which is called "Dell services: installation, education and more"

the 1st choice is "customer standard installation". according to the "more information link", it says:-

    "Basic Installation
Designed for customers who want their new DellTM computer system installed and operating correctly with the least amount of disruption to their working environment. Ideal for companies who require installation of Dell systems and do not require Technical orientation. Service includes - unpack, check, setup, connect, power-on and test with peripherals (keyboard, monitor and mouse), including network connection. "

erm.. do i need this? i mean like if i dun choose this choice, meaning that they dont test out whether my new laptop works or not (keyboard, power-on button, network connection etc..) before giving it to me?

    thanks for the help

    hehe

That choice means they come to your home and set it up and make sure it turns on etc. For many users it is unrequired as you can just contact Dell if it does not function properly
