I'm pretty sure they keep a record, so it won't be easily abused.

i'm sure they do as well, but I'm just wondering if there was someone really THAT careless that had to replace something at least once a month. How would they handle a situation like that?

I'm just wondering because I thought I was a really careful guy, but I just cracked the screen on my two week old M1210.

The new replacement M1210 is coming tomorrow.

Yeah... needless to say, it was really easy to do damage in such a short time.

hopefully no more incidents come about this.

I am not nor will I take up for Dell. But as far as insureance goes the more it is abused the more it costs or we loose it all together. I really just want to say take care of it I have had it on my first XPS and never needed it. I would use it if I had to but if someone were breaking them every month that would be insane UNLESSSSSS the computer was bad then that would be a different story. It sure would not be complete care though just bad merchandise.

I guess I can only hope that Dell will hold up to their end of the deal and that I will be more careful from now on.

Never thought I would hear myself saying that.

Yea. I got it as well. I am just taking care of it like it was my baby but if something does happen then I can get it replaced if necessary.

I think the assumption is people will still take reasonable care of their notebooks because there is definitely some inconvenience involved when you can't use your computer, especially if your service plan involves mailing it in instead of on-site service.

BTW, did you read the information on Dell.com about what is covered under Complete Care? I love the section about obvious intentional damage "i.e. hammer marks" not being covered :).
