The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    another dell vostro problem: cant back up folders to dvd

    I'm trying to back up some files to DVD before doing an OS restore but I'm getting a warning that Windows is having problems copying folders to the DVD. The folders/files I'm trying to restore were downloaded to my new Vostro 1500 via Carbonite--could there be an issue with that? I can open the files fine on my desktop but cannot burn anything to DVD. I'm really disappointed in this Dell. Seems like everything is broken on it
