im curious if an e1705 owners installed Dell's Vista chipset drivers with any issues? im asking because after doing a fresh install and using Dell's Vista chipset drivers, my system blacks out and hangs bad once it starts to install the chipset. once i power on and off and tried to install the chipset drivers again, it will install everything properly. when i install my video card drivers my system will hang and give me a parity error. this is from Dell's current Video card drivers and from laptopvideo2go drivers. i tested this 3 times and everytime i end up getting a parity error once i installed the video drivers.
if i dont install the chipset drivers i dont get any parity errors when installing Dell's and laptopvideo2go drivers, but i start to notice issues with random graphic problems when opening up explorer or apps. i dont get these type of errors if i use Vista Default video drivers. things im experiencing so far without installing the chipset drivers are some apps/drivers wont install properly, eg: logitech vista mouse drivers at all and nero (nero 7 ultimate) wont install properly unless i install from the directory it was unpacked in.
i was wondering if anyone has experience these type of issues?

The only problem I am having after installing vist on my 1705 is that I can't get my wireless to work -
Just download and install the 945 chipset drivers from Intel.

doh! i didn't think of that. thank you very much and it worked great.
i'm curious to which wireless card you have? i have a Dell 1390 and got it to work in Vista. I couldn't get my Atheros AR5006EX to work properly since I couldn't get the Atheros Card Utility to turn off Super G 108mb off.
any e1705 owner installed dell's vista chipset drivers without any issues?
