is there any chance that XPS M1330 prices will come down in next few months bec i am person who dont have much to spend but still wants the best thing, i have a budget of 1600$
i have been looking and searching for laptops for last 4months, first my eyes got stucked on xpsm1210 but 12.1 inch is small, but 13.3 inch is ideal, i cant wait anymore what should i do
buy some hp or other laptop? or wait until i get the xpsm1330 at a cost of 1600$ (not to mention i need good configurations too bec i wont be able to buy any laptop for next 3 years as this is my first time buying)
is it worth waiting for 1 or 2months waiting for prices to come down and buy the sexiest beast or should i buy it with low configuration bec i dont wana cry in years to come as i would be using it for all type purpose, gaming and for the nex 3years... i would appreicate your comments..

load up the inspiron 1420, the xps only has 2 things better (screen/size). the xps 1330 is way too expensive imo. wait 2 years and they'll have similar designs on the inspirons too...

For $1600 you can still get an M1330. If you are wanting the fastest processor and max memory, it's gonna go way over that.

You can get a decent m1330 for $1600 just don't expect the best cpu. I'd get it with a 5450 if i were you and upgrade the cpu later when i have more money.

As for dell lowering the price on the m1330, what would you do if you had the hottest notebook on the planet right now?

    Edit

    Tuxedo Black
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5250 (2MB cache/1.5GHz/667Mhz FSB)
Genuine Windows® Vista Home Premium Edition
Slim and Light LED Display with VGA Webcam
1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz
    120GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
    CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW Drive)
    128MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 8400M GS
    High Definition Audio 2.0
    Biometric Fingerprint Reader
56Whr Lithium Ion Battery (6 cell)
    Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-card
    Built-in Bluetooth capability (2.0 EDR)
$1649 with no discounts or coupon codes
$30 for 1gb stick of ram you get the notebook.

I know its a little over but you can drop the bluetooth and fingerprint reader if you dont need them and save $45.

Now go hustle up the money for the tax and if you somehow run into a coupon code even better.
The 5450 will be sufficient for now and when you feel like dropping $200 or so, you can pick up a T7300.

What's the $400 off for? Is this a Drake university order or something? We should look at standard pricing thats currently available.

My suggestion would be to get a low end processor on the M1330 and upgrade later. RAM too.

I just love how you phrased " Sexiest Beast " , Cuz that how i feel when i saw this notbook. IT's design completely taken my mind and consideration for other notbook - asus , sony. Although i feel it's overprice and you can probably get better spec with other brand like asus. BUT down the road ... with a HOT design like this i'll just want to make me bring it everywhere with me.
The price i paid for my m1330 is $3130 but i got discount so i only paid 1600 for my configeration at the very end.

    Processor: T7300 2.0 Gh 800mhz FSB
    Color: Matte Black
Screen: Slim / light LED with VGA cam
    Harddrive: 200GB HARD DRIVE,7200 RPM
    OP: Window Vista Ultimate
    RAM: 2 GB
    Wireless card: Wireless N card
    8x CD / dvd drive
    Nvidea 8400m 128 mb
    Macfee antivrius etc 36 Month
3 year NBD / onsite / accidental complete care
9 Cell primary + 9 cell additional battery
    Bluetooth 2.0 EDR
    Finger Print reader
    White green notebook sleeve

i mean with 3000 dollar with tax to this config, i can easily find other system with better config with the same price. BUT the design is so good to resist haha so i brought it.

I agree, look at the standard pricing or explain exactly how he can get the notebook @ that price. I had problems on the EPP site and went back to Dell Home even thought it cost a little more.

so i say if u'r low on budget don't get m1330 unless u'r willing to get low end config model. which i refuse too haha cuz it's a waste if you have a lower config . afterall i want to keep this for a long time

You could have saved some money by upgrading Vista HP to Ultimate later through Windows Anytime Upgrade, and you could have found 2gb of ram for cheaper then Dell sells it.

who was your rep because I was told that the 15% coupon was not valid for the 1330 let alone getting 50% off
