The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

:( sucks to be right now. will have to get my dad to contact customer support and get a new one sent to him, then another 2 weeks to get it shipped to an overseas APO.

I tried to contact dell support online but apparently dells **** site is region specific and it will only allow me to contact Dell UK  they cannot help me unless I transfer my warranty over to the UK.

At least it was still under warranty. That situation is really easy to avoid, just keep it straight, even when you wrap it up, and never pin it against a wall or other oblect, and it should outlast your system.
