    are dell outlet laptops eligible for Windows 7 upgrades?

    i'm hoping they are... looking at getting a Studio 1555 from the outlet which comes with Vista Home Premium

    Hmm, this is kinda a gray area as they really haven't gone into specifics (you must buy a Dell system from the standard store...etc.)

    Best bet would be to call or online chat with Dell.

    I wouldn't trust anything I was told on the phone or in chat. If the online order doesn't say it comes with the upgrade, I'd assume it doesn't

    Short answer: nope

    The laptop has to be shipped out or sold after june 26 NEW, in order to qualify for windows 7 upgrades. Since someone already has had it before, you can't get 7.

    I just bought a refurbished studio 1555, and on the checkout page, it said that the computer was eligible for the upgrade (I screenshot it). Haven't gotten the computer yet, so I can't input the information into Dell's site.
