    arghhhhh dell is making hard to look elsewhere now

    well many of you know how i feel about their lcd's now.. i just recieved a call after speaking with them yesterday and sending back my 1520 due to the sec3350 grain issues.. so far i have recieved the 325$ off from the inspiron coupon.. then an additional 450$ back in 2 different credits 250 on one and 200 on another from the escalations dept and reg customer support for other issues with the vostor's i sent back previously.. making my overall price a hair over 1k i think it ended up at like 1018 or close to that...

    wsxga
    160gb
    wireless n
    bluetooth
    8600gt
    cd/dvd burner
    6 cell and 9 cell
    free bag
    etc....

    any way the escalations dept just called me telling me they were tracking my order and wanted to know how the new system was... i told them of the situation and how unhappy i was.. they offered me ANOTHER 250$$$$$ BACK
    IF I CANCEL THE RETURN (ALREADY ON ITS WAY BACK) AND HAVE ANOTHER SHIPPED OUT IN REPLACEMENT, i mean at this point this is getting ridiculous.. i just simply cant believe what dell is trying to do to get me to stay with them, i mean that in a good way... so all in all this 1520 will end up at like 770-780 when its all said and done..

    WHAT SHOULD I DO...????? i mean for that price i really want to take the replacement.. but i will not take it even at that price with a bad screen..id still end up sending it back... i am so torn on what to do here, i just simply cant get over the price they are willing to give me on this now..

    HELP????????? I JUST CANT DECIDE... it so mcuch of a crap shoot with dell to get a good screen i could be shipping these back another 2 or 3 times to get a good looking screen i dont know.. and i know its not me being super picky since i went to office depot and didnt see as bad of a screen as what i recieved and any of the ones on the shelf even the cheapo 399 ones... so i know it is def a bad screen

    man as i said even for 399 i would not keep a system with a crap screen.. will not happen.. i have to look at it all day and at close to 800$ i sure will not keep a system with a nasty screen.. if i get another with a crap screen that to will be on its way back

    what do you have to lose? If the new screen is up to your standard, then you just got ANOTHER $250 off of your purchase price. And if the screen still sucks, then just send it back to them. Maybe they'll throw another $250 at you while sending you yet another replacement at that point.

    i just cant believe they are willing to do this ... how are they continuing to make money by issuing everyone all these credits back

    You Americans are too lucky. The Canadian CSR only gave me 5% off to keep me from cancelling. That's BS since the price dropped more than 5% already. I cancelled.

    i already shipped it back to them.. ive done this now every time it goes back the same day i call for replacement/return they ask me to hang onto it but id rather just get it out and not worry about it.. so sorry cant take a pic..

    Ask them to give it to your for free. :D I mean it's a piece of garbage anyways, not much they can salvage from it. The parts with at best be counted as refurbished GPUs and stuff...

    lol i know this is crazy man i just dont know if i want to take another roll of the dice.. guess it cant hurt i can still get a refund later and its really only on a credit card so what i pay a few dollars interest on it next month...
