    hi i just currently formated my pc however after installing the driver for the ati x1400 i restarted the pc. after i restarted the screen flickered for 1 second displaying this weird red color it then went back to normal....i just want to know if this is a sign of something? this only happened once.

    I think that was just the final install procedure for the drivers. Windows is suddenly using the card as a full radeon rather than a generic video adapter and the flash is just the transition, or something like that.

    I seem to recall the same thing happening with my other ATi cards after the first restart.
