so for the past maybe half an hour ive noticed if i call the order status number and put in my 9 digit order number...i get a thanks...and a please wait from the machine...then it doesnt say anything for a while...then i hear two beeps as it sounds like i am being transferred. does this mean they cancelled my order or something?

it might be a problem with the automated one, try checking the online order status through the dell website

The online status will only tell you that its in production. It will not state if its delayed and is not automatically updated to a new date once you notebook is delayed.
My order has been delayed but still states its in production and states it should be shipped 7/17 wich as you can see its well passed that date. -

Ah, f***ing hell, same thing is happening with me. I hear silence and then after a minute I'm told that after I hear two beeps, I will be transfered. It better be due to some sort of motion of Dell getting its ass in gear and making some laptops and not because my order has been canceled.

took me 5 or six tries over an hour, but i did get through and they moved my status to boxing...so maybe they are just getting swamped today

i also cannot get through today on the automated status number. it transferred me to a CC rep who upgraded my shipping to next day without me asking. asked twice if any of the parts were delayed and he said they weren't.
can other people get through on the number? -
btw - i ordered a green 1420, 1.8, with an anti-glare screen, bluetooth, webcam, everything else standard

I still can't get through. I really hope this means some of us will leave pre-production. The estimated ship date for a newly ordered 1330 is three weeks earlier than when I ordered mine in June.

I talked with a CSR on dell chat, and was first told that my order might be shipping sooner than 7/25 (my est ship date) and after asking for a more detailed description than "in production" was told that it might be delayed because my screen choice, WSXGA+ (1680x1050 resolution) is backordered.
They did upgrade me to 1 day shipping for free. -
I tried to call several times today and each time was switched to a live CS operator. I did not wait to talk with anyone but I think they are probably just having some phone troubles with this line today....TAKE A DEEP BREATH....RELAX!
