    I wnat to be able carry the 1530 and a mouse, power supply. a few paperbacks, airline tickets perhaps.

    any bag recommendations?

    was thinking of the targus blacktop line.

    looks like a briefcase.
    or a backpack with a handle better??

    I got the Belkin Grey/Green Backpack from Dell for mine. Good room and comfortable. Plus it's green people green!

    I asked and was told a case did not come with it. They didnt recommend anything.

    I just ordered it 2 days ago.

    That looks pretty good. If it came in green I'd say it was better than mine but it doesn't so it's not.

    Waterfield Designs makes incredible bags and custom sized sleeves for laptops. The quality is first-rate, but they're not cheap. The website is http://www.sfbags.com. You can find a sleeve that fits the M1530 perfectly. I bought one that works for both the 9 cell and 6 cell batteries.

    I rarely use battery so just got the stock one.

    I am unsure why these messenger styles are so popular. I like backpack but had to use if wearing a suit that day.

    I may have to get a backpack and a pbusiness type case for when people actually see me.
