    should we ban the term lappy? at least for dell laptops, they don't deserve such @#$!@!

    The term "lappy" bothers me less than hearing "iTouch"......however I'd like to see both removed from the English vernacular.

    The first time I heard the term "lappy" used was in one of Strongbad's e-mail episodes on www.homestarrunner.com (just after Strongbad's desktop pc took a shotgun blast from Bubs -- it was damn funny!). Nothing really derogatory about it lol.

    Why ban it? Personal use of a word, is one's own free choice on usage? I use the word "lappy", when I want.

    And, I will continue to use it ;) :D :p What is my punishment for continued use of a banned word? ;) :D :p * Lappy lappy lappy lappy*

    Yes, I hate the term lappy. Sounds really stupid. And I agree with the comment on itouch, that is stupid too. Infact I am sick of all the i<whatever> terminology. iHome, iTouch, iBite, iScream, iDon'tCare......

    I think just as with anything, if you don't like it then don't read it. Same thing if your watching TV and you don't like the programming then just turn it off.
