Hi guys I'm waiting for my inspiron 1420 to arrive, it's set to arrive august 28 because of glossy monitors being back ordered. Pretty stupid. Anyways I have a $50 coupon code that I got and I wanted to use it towards a carrying case/backpack. Are there any that you guys would recommend that I could buy from the dell website? Thanks!

They have the Medium size on Dell's site. So check the sizes first before ordering anything.

Personally I think that is the best bag you can get, but at a high price.

i got the brown belkin sling bag for free from dell. it's sweet. totally takes care of the laptop, is like a backpack but with one strap. has a cell phone holder on the strap. has pockets out the ass. has a internal little bag for the ac adapter.

    very cool and comfortable.

Hey Monkstah, I am thinking of getting that same brown belkin bag. Can you post a picture for size reference? I'm wondering just how big it is in comparison to the computer. Thanks!

it's a 15.4" bag, so it's a bit bigger. it's a backpack style though.. it is compact.. and fits perfect. don't have any pictures, but you can 3d tour it on the dell website.

My daughter bought a targus sleeve for her soon to arrive dell inspiron 1420. She says that she can then put into any bag of her choice (backpack, shoulder bag, ...). She can change the bag to fit the current fad and keep hauling her laptop

Wait, so if there's a $50 coupon for a laptop backpack when you buy a notebook, does that mean that I should wait until I get my notebook and order my backpack seperately afterwards? (btw, I'm ordering from Dell Canada, if it makes a difference.)

I used a Dell gift card and got a Targus bag. My 1420 fits perfect and it`s well padded. No complaints whatsoever. Just search Dell site for 14` Targus bags and have a look.
